Our world is beautiful and amazing! Even the most experienced travelers — those who have seen many countries and cities — can always find here some new exciting spots. The nature creates its miracles, and the man helps it as much as he can by concentrating the most wonderful things in one place.

Can you guess what we are talking about? Of course, these are botanical gardens and parks! Today we’ll tell you about some of the most famous places of the kind.

Las Pozas: Lost in the Jungle

The very special garden called Las Pozas is hidden in the jungles of Mexico. Walking around it, you’ll keep thinking of the abandoned cities where nature every day corrects what was made by man, giving the stairs, window frames and walls completely fantastic new looks.

Famous sculptor Edward James created 36 objects for Las Pozas. His spiral stairs, columns, bridges and arches, all covered with moss, catch everyone’s imagination.

Ever-blooming Ashikaga

We have already told you about the Flower Park Ashikaga in an article about floral traditions of Japan. Now we will not repeat the information about all the amazing flowers that can be found in this park throughout the year. We’ll just remind you that wisteria flowering deserves your special attention. These tree-like creepers bloom with large fragrant cluster vines.

In Ashikaga there are wisterias of all possible colors: white, purple, blue... To emphasize their splendor, the Japanese set special supporting arches. The vines entwine the construction creating incredibly beautiful tunnels. You can take a walk through these magical natural corridors from April to the end of May. And we can assure you that the splendor is a must see view!

Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden: Gem of South Africa

There are more than 7000 kinds of plants, including many rare and vanishing ones, in the beautiful Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden in South Africa. In a greenhouse situated on its territory you’ll be able to find plants from the most different regions.

Kirstenbosch was the first botanical garden in the world included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Famous Keukenhof

We have already taken a look at the most famous flower park in the Netherlands — Keukenhof —while exploring the floral traditions of different parts of the world.

It’s impossible to count all its beauties: all the flower beds, flower sculptures, artful floral compositions, greenhouses and so on. This is definitely one of the parks to be visited by everyone at least once in life!

Gardens of Old England

If you like cozy vintage gardens you need to go and admire the nature of Barrington Court manor in England. Construction of the house started in 1538^th and was completed in the late 1550s. For a long time this Tudor-style manor belonged to wealthy English families. It survived a decline and even a fire, but now is refurbished and pleases visitors with its grandeur.

The manor is surrounded by a cozy and harmonious garden created by the famous landscape designer Gertrude Jekyll whose name was even given to a sort of roses. The flower beds formed by her perfectly convey the spirit of the times and highlight the beauty of the manor’s architecture.

Mount Stewart: Cozy Corner of Northern Ireland

Another amazingly beautiful private garden called Mount Stewart in situated in Northern Ireland. At the time it has created the Marquis of Londonderry. She was an aristocrat, writer, member of the Women's Voluntary Reserve during World War I, and the mother of five children. Creating Mount Stewart she once again proved that gardening can be a real art. Walking through this garden will let you truly relax and enjoy the perfection of forms and colors of different plants.
