How to write a Belgian address
- A Belgian address gives the street, house number, four-digit postcode and city, e.g. Rue de la Loi 16, 1000 Bruxelles.
- In apartment buildings the mailbox number is used instead of a flat number: bo?te in French or bus in Dutch (16 bus 3). Always include it.
- Brussels street names are bilingual — either the French or Dutch version works.
- Add the recipient's Belgian phone number (+32) so the courier can call ahead.

- Card language. Flanders (Antwerp, Ghent) speaks Dutch, Wallonia (Li?ge, Charleroi) speaks French, and Brussels uses both. English works everywhere.
- Mother's Day is the second Sunday of May in most of Belgium — but in the city and province of Antwerp it is 15 August.
- Chrysanthemums are taken to cemeteries on All Saints' Day (1 November), so choose roses, tulips or hydrangeas for a gift.
