How to write a Dutch address
- Dutch postcodes have four digits and two letters (1016 GV Amsterdam) and, together with the house number, pinpoint the address — double-check them.
- House numbers often carry a letter or floor suffix: Prinsengracht 263-1, 12A, 45-II or 3-hoog. Write it exactly as the recipient does.
- Add the surname on the doorbell — older buildings often have several flats behind one door.
- Add the recipient's Dutch phone number (+31) so the courier can call ahead.
