Want to surprise family or friends in Cluj-Napoca? UFL takes your order online and delivers bouquets to any address in Romania. Choose a bouquet, pay by card online, and write the card message in any language.
Cluj-Napoca traces its roots to Roman Napoca, founded around 106 after Trajan's conquest of Dacia; Hadrian made it a municipium, and it later became capital of Dacia Porolissensis. The present name first appears in 1213 as Castrum Clus. On 19 August 1316 King Charles I of Hungary granted Cluj city status for the Saxons' help against the rebel voivode Ladislaus K?n. Delegates from Cluj attended the Alba Iulia assembly that proclaimed the union of Transylvania with Romania on 1 December 1918, and in 1974 "Napoca" was added to the city's name.
Matthias Corvinus (1443–1490), King of Hungary and Croatia from 1458, was born here in 1443 and in 1488 reformed the hundred-member city council. Romanian actor Florin Piersic (born 1936) is also a native.
Set in the Some?ul Mic valley, the unofficial capital of Transylvania radiates from Gothic St. Michael's Church on Unirii Square, whose altar was dedicated in 1390 and whose 1860 neo-Gothic tower is the tallest church tower in Romania. Nearby stand the equestrian statue of Matthias Corvinus and the Matthias Corvinus House, while Avram Iancu Square holds the Orthodox Cathedral (completed 1933) and the National Theatre, home to the Lucian Blaga National Theatre and the Romanian National Opera since 1919. Babe?-Bolyai University is Romania's largest, the city has hosted the TIFF film festival since 2001, and Untold is Romania's largest music festival. We will deliver your bouquet to the address you specify in Cluj-Napoca.
We also deliver to other cities in the region: Bucharest, Constan?a. The capital is Bucharest, and all cities with delivery are listed on the Romania page. For a surprise, give the address of the office or cafe where the recipient will be, plus a contact phone number.
On March 1 people give the red-and-white M?r?i?or charm to welcome spring. March 8 is one of the most popular days for flowers here. On Valentine's Day, February 14, bouquets are as popular here as they are in Ukraine. Before holidays it is best to order early.
The classics are red roses and 101 roses. For a softer mood choose spray roses or hydrangeas, and for a practical gift, flowers in a box. By occasion: birthday flowers, flowers for her, flowers for mom.
