Flowers in Bershad delivered to a home or office: roses, hydrangeas, flower boxes and bouquets for any occasion. The greeting card is free.
Bershad has been known since 1459 as a Lithuanian fortress with a six-metre rampart on the southern border of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. In the late 16th century it belonged to the Zbarazky princes, whose fort became a Cossack stronghold; in 1617, under the Treaty of Busha, the town was burned and rebuilt on the left bank of the Dokhna. In 1648 it became a company (sotnia) town of the Uman Regiment, in 1819 Piotr Moszy?ski founded his main residence here, and in 1827 the first sugar factory in Podillia opened in Bershad.
Lieutenant Colonel Yurii Kovalenko (1977–2014), Hero of Ukraine, was born here, as were actress Oleksandra Fomenko (1923–2007), Polish painter Witold Pruszkowski (1846–1896) and satirical poet Volodymyr Krasilenko (1931–2021).
The town lies on the Dokhna River in the Southern Buh basin. An 18th-century Catholic church and synagogue stand in the centre, the Giant Oak is a protected natural monument, and narrow-gauge trains on the Haivoron–Rudnytsia line stop at Bershad station. Order a bouquet from anywhere in the world and we will hand it over in Bershad.
