Flowers in Sheptytskyi delivered to a home or office: roses, hydrangeas, flower boxes and bouquets for any occasion. The greeting card is free.
The town on the Western Bug was founded in 1692 by Grand Crown Hetman Feliks Kazimierz Potocki, who named it Krystynopil after his wife Krystyna Lubomirska and in 1695 endowed a Bernardine church where he was later buried. After the first partition of Poland in 1772 it passed to the Habsburg monarchy. In 1951 the town was transferred to the USSR under a Soviet-Polish agreement and renamed Chervonohrad, as coal mines of the Lviv-Volyn basin were being built. On 1 August 1990 it became the first place in Ukraine to remove a Lenin monument, and on 26 September 2024 it was renamed Sheptytskyi in honour of Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky.
Poet and translator Vasyl Bobynskyi (1898–1938) was born in Krystynopil. Andriy Parubiy (1971–2025), Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada in 2016–2019 and posthumous Hero of Ukraine, was a native of Chervonohrad, as is Ukraine international footballer Mykola Moroziuk (born 1988).
The town lies where the Solokiia and Rata flow into the Western Bug; the floodplain splits it into an old and a new town linked by a dam. Landmarks include the former Bernardine Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit (1692–1704), now St Volodymyr's Church, the Basilian St George Monastery, where the future Metropolitan Sheptytsky took his vows in 1892, and the Potocki Palace housing a branch of the Lviv Museum of the History of Religion. Ukraine's first monument to Mykhailo Hrushevsky was unveiled here in 1992. It is a coal-mining centre and a speedway town that hosted independent Ukraine's first speedway race on 25 August 1991. Our courier will deliver flowers to any part of Sheptytskyi.
