What to know about Dobroslav

Dobroslav appeared around 1802, when landowner Anton Kodyntsev bought land here and resettled some of his serfs, so the village was named Antonovo-Kodyntseve. From 1849 it was a small town and volost centre. Between 1935 and 2016 it was called Kominternivske and was renamed Dobroslav on 14 July 2016. On 24 August 2018 a monument to the "cyborgs", defenders of Donetsk Airport, was unveiled here.

Landmarks and local highlights

The settlement lies 50 km from Odesa on the old Kyiv road, with Kremydivka as the nearest railway station. The Park of Loving Hearts (2017) entered the National Register of Records of Ukraine for 705 hearts in one place. Other landmarks are the Holodomor and political repression memorial with the Grieving Angel, the Church of All Saints of the Ukrainian Land (2009) and the Bird of Freedom memorial.
