Flowers in Lozova delivered to a home or office: roses, hydrangeas, flower boxes and bouquets for any occasion. The card costs nothing.
Lozova dates from 1869, when Lozova-Azovska station opened on the Kursk–Kharkiv–Azov railway; in 1872 Lozova-Sevastopolska station followed, simply called Lozova since 1893. The crossing of two railways made the settlement a grain trading and shipping point with elevators, warehouses, flour mills and banks. In December 1917 units of the Lozova Haidamaka Kurin and the Pavlohrad Free Cossacks held the approaches to the station for three days, and in April 1918 Ukrainian troops under Colonel Vsevolod Petriv liberated the town. Lozova became a town of district significance in 1928 and of oblast significance in 1962; the Lozova Forging and Mechanical Plant opened in 1966.
Lozova is the birthplace of Mykola Kucherenko (1908–1976), one of the designers of the T-34 tank, American philosopher, psychologist and biologist of Ukrainian origin Anatol Rapoport (1911–2007), and high jumper Oleksandr Nartov (1988), a 2008 Olympian and multiple Ukrainian champion. Oleksandr Lavrenko (1983–2014), Hero of Ukraine awarded the Golden Star, was also born here.
The town stands at the source of the Lozova River, and its centre sits on the watershed between the Dnipro and Siverskyi Donets basins. It is a major railway junction and the second most populous town in Kharkiv Oblast. Local favourites include the Druzhba Arboretum, a protected site since 2000, Peremoha Park, the Smolensk Icon and Saints Peter and Paul churches, the Lozova Local History Museum and the memorial to Ukrainian People's Republic soldiers known as the Haidamaka Cross. Order a bouquet from anywhere in the world and we will hand it over in Lozova.
