What to know about Verkhnodniprovsk
In the 1680s–1690s Zaporozhian Cossack winter camps stood on this land. In 1779, under Prince Grigory Potemkin, the settlement of Hryhorivka was founded here, renamed Novohryhorivka in 1785.
