Flowers in Vynohradiv delivered to a home or office: roses, hydrangeas, flower boxes and bouquets for any occasion. The greeting card is free.
Vynohradiv is known from 1262, when Latin documents mention it as the royal town of Sevliush: King Stephen V granted it self-government, its own court, a free Thursday market and free crossing of the Tysa. In 1307 King Charles Robert gave the town to Beke Borsa, who built Kankiv Castle, and later it passed to the Per?nyi family; Baron Zsigmond Per?nyi founded the town hospital. The name Sevliush, from the 15th century, means 'of grapes' in Hungarian; a coat of arms with a vine-grower holding three bunches was approved in 1908, and in 1946 the town was renamed Vynohradiv. Natives Ihor Klodzinskyi and Roman Holovko, distinguished in the Kherson direction, are Heroes of Ukraine.
Hungarian composer B?la Bart?k (1881–1945) lived here in the early 20th century, gave his first solo concert in Sevliush and first performed his own piece The Course of the Danube; the local music school bears his name. Painter Imre R?v?sz (1859–1945) spent his last years in the town, and journalist Endre Nagy (1877–1938), the father of Hungarian cabaret, was born here. Writer Andrii Liubka (1987) lived in Vynohradiv for many years.
The town sits on the right side of the Tysa at the foot of Black Mountain (570 m), a former volcano, 9 km from the Romanian border and 15 km from Hungary. Kankiv Castle crowns a spur of the mountain, the Per?nyi Palace stands in an old park, and the Gothic Church of the Ascension (15th century) rises over the historic centre, next to the Franciscan monastery church of 1516, the Reformed church (1828–1872) and the 'Bart?k was here' mini-sculpture. We will deliver a bouquet to any address in Vynohradiv.
